Tosei Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Seiichiro Yamaguchi; Securities code: 8923, "the Company" hereafter) is pleased to announce today that it has acquired DBJ Green Building Certification continuously by Development Bank of Japan Inc. for Tamachi Tosei Building which we own and manage as our head office building.
Upgraded to 3-star due to Successful Efforts to improve Environmental Friendliness and Convenience
We have acquired DBJ Green Building Certification again for Tamachi Tosei Building, which we own and manage as our head office building. Since the previous certification, the building's rank has been upgraded from 2 stars to 3 stars (★★★), thanks to the successful introduction of measures for a low-carbon society and efforts to improve the convenience of the office space, including the use of renewable energy and the installation of phone booths that can also be used by visitors. DBJ Green Building Certification is a certification system established by the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) in April 2011 to serve as a bridge between businesses, financial institutions, and investors through the evaluation of environmentally and socially conscious real estate. In addition to the environmental performance of the building, the program supports ESG initiatives for existing buildings through a comprehensive evaluation that includes consideration of the social demands of the various stakeholders surrounding the property.
Tosei Group will continue to promote environmental and social considerations in the properties it owns and actively acquire environmental real estate certifications, including DBJ Green Building Certification, in an effort to practice ESG management.
